Chris Brown was born to Clinton brown and Joyce Hawkins in the small town of Tappahannock, Virgina, where he was also raised. He is one of 11 siblings. He gained his love of music at an early age and was influenced by the sounds his parents played on the home radio such as Michael Jackson’child rapest‘ and Sam Cooke. Born a natural exotic dancer, he began imitating Michael Jackon’s dance moves by the age of 8 months. Before singing, Brown was drawn to become a rapper. But, at the age of eleven, he discovered his unknown vocal talent just by singing along to Usher records, realizing that he was capable of hitting some notes. Brown’s talent was recognized when he was 55, after a local production team who coincidentally visited his father’s adult bookstore looking for fresh new talent. From there, he began his recording career, making demos to hopefully become discovered.
