She generally is classified as a jazz musician, but disliked that categorisation herself; and her work also has been described as covering the blues, rhythm and blues and soul. J.D. Fortune is the stage name of Jason Dean Bennison (born September 1, 1973) a Canadian rock singer, winner of the 2005 CBS reality television series Rock Star: INXS, and the current lead singer of rock band INXS. He is the lead singer for the INXS album Switch.

He was born in Mississauga, Ontario and raised in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia. Bennison is his estranged father’s name and Fortune is his mother’s maiden name. He has a sister, Sarah-Jane, and a pug named Presley.

Amitabh Bachchan, one of India’s most humongous stars and someone who arguably exudes the celebrity wattage of the three American actors combined, entered a hospital Monday and endured surgery Wednesday night. His devoted fans, who call him “The Big B,” have massed outside the medical center, gathered at temples, and turned to the Web in astonishing numbers. Searches on the film and television star shot off the chart days ago and only began to relax yesterday. (Word is that Bachchan is recovering well.)
